Full-Time OPTICAL DISPENSER – MOSCOT Melbourne n

3-month fixed-term contract with potential for ongoing permanent Full-Time or Part time employment.

We are seeking an experienced Optical Dispenser to join our MOSCOT Melbourne team. The ideal candidate brings strong optical knowledge, confidence in premium customer service, and a genuine passion for eyewear, styling, and creating memorable customer experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Experience n

Deliver an exceptional and personalised MOSCOT Shop experience

n

Confidently communicate the MOSCOT brand story, heritage, and product offering

n

Assist customers with frame styling, lens selection, and prescription eyewear solutions

n

Fit, adjust, repair, and dispense eyewear to ensure comfort, function, and accuracy

n

Provide knowledgeable guidance on lenses, coatings, materials, and product care

n

Maintain accurate customer records and order entry

n

Provide thoughtful follow-up and aftercare support

Optical & Product Knowledge n

Act as a key resource for lens and product expertise

n

Understand lens limitations, compatibility, and suitable dispensing solutions

n

Partner closely with Lab Operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment

n





Maintain strong knowledge of current eyewear trends and premium optical products

Operations & Inventory n

Assist with stock receipts, transfers, replenishment, and cycle counts

n

Support inventory accuracy and reconciliation processes

n

Coordinate with lab and shop teams on priority and VIP orders

n

Maintain the presentation, cleanliness, and organisation of the shop

Communication & Teamwork n

Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members

n

Answer and direct phone and customer enquiries

n

Collaborate closely with the wider MOSCOT team to support daily operations and shop goals

n

Assist with customer enquiries, phone calls, and virtual consultations as required

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS n

Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing preferred, though not essential with strong industry experience

n

2 years + experience in optical dispensing

n

Strong understanding of eyewear products, lenses, and optical dispensing

n

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

n

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

n

Confident using POS and retail systems (Experience with Optomate is a plus)

n

Positive, team-oriented approach

n

Weekend and holiday availability required

n

Applicants must hold full Australian working rights and currently reside in Australia
