A Business Development Manager (BDM) in the Transport & Distribution industry is sought to drive sales growth and build robust client relationships. This role focuses on identifying opportunities and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs.

Client Details

My client are a global 3PL & Freight Forwarder investing and expanding across Australia. They are a privately owned logistics and supply chain provider offering freight forwarding, 3PL warehousing, transport, e-commerce fulfilment and customs-related services across Australia and international markets.

Description

- Generate new business opportunities within the Transport & Distribution industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to support revenue growth.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and service delivery.




- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and performance metrics.

Profile

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in 3PL or Freight Forwarding.
- A strong understanding of the industry and its key drivers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools.
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.

Job Offer

- Base salary between $120,000 and $130,000 AUD.
- $20,000 car allowance.
- Superannuation included.
- 5% commission on GP.
