We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team on a casual basis.

Located in Whittlesea, VicVet is a purpose-built veterinary hospital bringing together Primary Care, Emergency and Referral services under one roof. Our reception team works closely with veterinarians, nurses and hospital leadership to ensure every patient and client receives exceptional care.

Whether you're helping a worried emergency client, welcoming a puppy for its first vaccination, or coordinating communication between departments, you'll be an important part of the patient journey.

About the Role n

As a Casual Veterinary Receptionist, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the hospital by providing outstanding customer service and administrative support.

Responsibilities include:

n

- Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
n
- Managing incoming phone calls and emails
n
- Booking appointments and coordinating schedules
n
- Processing payments and managing accounts
n
- Handling emergency enquiries and directing cases appropriately
n
- Supporting communication between clients and clinical teams
n
- Maintaining accurate patient records
n
- Assisting with general administrative duties and reception workflow
n
- Working collaboratively with both Primary Care and Emergency & Referral departments
n
- Following cleaning protocols each shift
n

About You n

We're looking for someone who:

n

n
- Has previous veterinary reception experience (preferred)
n
- Has exceptional customer service and communication skills
n
- Remains calm and compassionate during busy or emotional situations
n
- Is organised, efficient and able to multitask
n
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced workplace
n
- Is confident using computer systems and learning new software (if you're already confident using EzyVet, this is advantageous)
n
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team
n
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
n
