We're growing our Support Office finance team and looking for a Finance Officer to join Star Group.

Star Group is Queensland's leading independent hospitality operator, with close to 200 sites across hotels, bars, accommodation and retail liquor.

n

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys reconciliations, solving problems, investigating discrepancies and keeping financial records accurate. You'll be part of a large finance team supporting multiple businesses across the group.

What you'll be doing n

n
- Bank reconciliations
n
- Balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Clearing and control account reconciliations
n
- Investigating and resolving unreconciled items
n
- Maintaining accurate financial records
n
- Assisting with month-end reconciliations and reporting preparation
n
- Supporting accounts receivable processes
n
- Working with venue teams and the wider finance team to resolve queries
n
- Assisting with finance process improvements and system changes
n

n

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail,



identifying issues and ensuring accounts are accurate and complete.

About you n

n
- 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, finance or accounting
n
- Robust reconciliation and problem-solving skills
n
- High attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Comfortable working with large transaction volumes
n
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities
n
- Ideally have some experience with Xero, Business Central or similar accounting systems.
n
- A team player who takes ownership of their work
n

Hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential.
