About the roleOur client is a well-known, quick-growing premium retail brand, currently building a brand new National Distribution Centre that will take its warehouse operation from fully manual to semi-automated, with robotic picking and packing.

They’re looking for a Test Lead to own testing across the programme, leading a small SIT team through integration testing between core retail systems, Blue Yonder WMS and the new robotics platform, and on through to go-live.

What you’ll be doing

- Owning the test strategy, test plans and entry and exit criteria across SIT, UAT and end-to-end testing

- Leading and coaching a small team of SIT Test Analysts, while staying hands-on where needed

- Running defect triage across the business, the WMS team and an international automation partner

- Aligning test phases with vendor delivery dates and programme milestones

- Reporting test progress, quality and risk to programme leadership

- Leading operational readiness and go-live testing alongside warehouse teams

What you’ll bring

- 8 years in testing, including leading testing on a WMS implementation or distribution centre go-live





- Experience with a Tier 1 WMS such as Blue Yonder (JDA), Manhattan or similar

- Strong functional understanding of warehouse operations: receiving, putaway, waving, picking, packing, replenishment and dispatch

- Proven SIT and UAT management across multiple vendors on large transformation programmes

- Confidence leading a small team and holding the line on quality with senior stakeholders

- Exposure to warehouse automation, WCS or robotics (AutoStore, Knapp, Dematic, Swisslog or similar) highly regarded
