Role Description The Test Analyst role is a contract position based in Canberra with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with flexibility to work from home.

The Test

Analyst will plan, design, and execute test cases across various projects, ensuring that business and technical requirements are thoroughly validated. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing manual testing, logging and tracking defects, supporting test management activities, and providing clear test documentation and reports. The role involves working closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, and product owners to clarify requirements, analyze issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.

The Test





Analyst will also participate in test planning meetings, contribute to risk assessments, and help refine quality standards across the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Strong testing expertise, including Testing and Manual Testing, with experience designing and executing test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Demonstrated capability in Test Execution and Test Management, including defect tracking, test reporting, and coordination of test cycles.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret requirements, identify gaps and risks, and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to produce clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test summaries.
- Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present testing outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Attention to detail, a structured approach to problem-solving, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB), information technology, or a related discipline are highly regarded.
