About the Opportunity

Hatchit Studios is seeking an experienced Test Manager to support a major Federal Government telecommunications platform and infrastructure transformation project.

This role will be responsible for leading end-to-end testing activities, developing and implementing test strategies, managing technical testing teams, and ensuring complex infrastructure solutions meet functional, technical, and security requirements.

The successful candidate will bring solid experience in large-scale infrastructure testing, telecommunications or networking environments, and enterprise test management, working closely with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, and external technology vendors.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, frameworks, and governance processes for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Lead and coordinate testing teams, including resource allocation, performance management, coaching, and mentoring.
- Oversee the establishment, configuration, and management of infrastructure test environments and test beds.
- Manage end-to-end testing activities, including functional, integration, system, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) and Verification Traceability Matrices (VTM).
- Manage test cases, test data, defect tracking, risk assessments, and reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, government agencies, and external technology vendors.
- Drive test automation,



continuous improvement, and adherence to testing standards and methodologies.
- Provide regular reporting on testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and readiness for production deployment.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions meet business, technical, operational, and security requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

- 7–10 years of IT experience, including at least 3–5 years managing testing activities for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise testing strategies, governance, and delivery.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, networking technologies, and complex system integrations.
- Proven experience establishing and managing infrastructure test environments.
- Hands-on experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, test management platforms, and defect tracking systems.
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience developing and maintaining RTMs, VTMs, test plans, and quality assurance documentation.
- Strong leadership skills, including managing technical teams, allocating resources, and mentoring staff.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience delivering projects within Australian Government or similarly complex enterprise environments (highly regarded).
- ITIL, ISTQB, PMP, or PRINCE2 certifications (desirable).
