Senior Procurement Manager – Construction Perth, WA | $160,000 – $200,000 + Superannuation

The Opportunity
A leading construction contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement and commercial management of major construction contracts across a portfolio of projects in Western Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute procurement professional to take ownership of high-value contract procurement, working closely with senior leadership, project delivery teams and key subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing procurement strategies, negotiating complex contractual agreements and ensuring commercial risks are effectively managed throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end procurement of essential construction contracts, subcontractor packages and major project services.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements, budgets and delivery schedules.
- Manage tendering processes, including preparation of tender documentation, evaluation of submissions and commercial negotiations.
- Negotiate high-value construction contracts, ensuring favourable commercial terms and appropriate risk allocation.
- Work closely with project managers, commercial managers and legal teams to review contractual obligations and mitigate commercial exposure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements and relevant legislation.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, procurement efficiencies and improved commercial outcomes.




- Provide strategic procurement advice to senior management throughout the project lifecycle.

About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally demonstrate:

- Significant experience in senior procurement or commercial management roles within the construction industry.
- A strong background working for a head contractor, ideally across major construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience procuring and negotiating complex, high-value construction contracts and subcontractor packages.
- Solid knowledge of construction contracts, commercial terms, contractual risk and procurement legislation.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and commercial decision-making skills.
- The ability to manage multiple procurement packages and competing project priorities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law or a related discipline.
- A degree in Construction Law or a legal qualification with a focus on construction contracts would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
