We are partnering with a leading engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Civil Engineer for its Sydney transport infrastructure team.
With significant infrastructure work coming to market, this opportunity offers exposure to major roads and highways projects, including complex design and construct (D&C;) packages. You will take ownership of key civil design elements, work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and develop your technical and design leadership capability.
The role
You will support the coordination, design and delivery of major transport infrastructure projects. Responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating civil design packages across roads and highways projects.
- Developing and reviewing technical designs, including alignments, road furniture and associated civil infrastructure.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated design outcomes.
- Liaising with clients and project stakeholders throughout design and delivery.
- Supporting project planning and ensuring designs meet relevant standards, specifications and project requirements.




- Taking ownership of key design elements and contributing to broader project delivery.

About you

- Approximately 8-10 years' civil engineering experience, with a solid focus on transport infrastructure, roads and highways.
- Experience delivering TfNSW projects is essential, including familiarity with relevant design standards, specifications and requirements.
- Experience on major infrastructure projects, ideally within a D&C; environment.
- Strong general civil and road alignment design capability.
- Proficiency in 12d, with confidence producing, reviewing or coordinating civil design outputs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in design coordination, zone leadership or a similar role—or the ambition to progress towards Design Manager or Technical Lead.
