This could be a excellent fit for a nurse who enjoys rural and remote Primary Health Care, but would prefer to live in a larger regional centre.

Position Details

- Permanent full-time position
- $2,000 Curis sign-up bonus as a thank you for working with us
- Base salary $96,000 – $107,000 per annum + super
- Salary packaging available to increase your take-home pay
- Monday to Friday clinic hours, no weekends
- Opportunity to live in Cairns and work in an Aboriginal community-controlled setting

The Role
This is a varied Primary Health Care nursing role where you’ll work across clinic and community settings and build strong relationships with local community members.
You will have the opportunity to work across chronic disease management, health promotion, immunisation, health assessments, prevention and community outreach.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team while also having the autonomy that comes with working in a smaller community setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide Primary Health Care nursing services across clinic and community settings
- Undertake health assessments and preventative health care
- Support chronic disease management
- Deliver immunisation and health promotion programs
- Provide health education to individuals, families and the community
- Participate in outreach and community-based nursing
- Build strong, culturally safe relationships with community members
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team




- Respond to the changing health needs of the community

You can live in Cairns or the surrounding coastal area and commute approximately one hour each way to work.

You will need

- Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions
- Previous experience in primary healthcare, community, rural or remote nursing
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Full Australian working rights
