We are looking for a HVAC Estimator to join an established Brisbane mechanical services team in their D+C team.

In the Role as a HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial mechanical services projects, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the tender process.
Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tenders for commercial HVAC projects.
- Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Completing material take-offs, labour calculations and cost assessments.
- Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identifying project risks, value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions.




- Working closely with engineering, construction and project management teams.
- Preparing tender submissions and supporting negotiations.
- Assisting with successful handovers from estimating through to project delivery.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.

About You We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of commercial HVAC systems and the ability to produce accurate, competitive estimates.
Ideally, you will bring:

- Previous experience in HVAC or mechanical services estimating- we would consider junior and senior estimators for these roles.
- Experience tendering commercial construction or major mechanical services projects.
- Strong understanding of chilled water, VRF, AHUs, FCUs, ductwork and associated mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience with estimating software, Excel and cost management processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
- A mechanical engineering degree or trade experience

We are also open to speaking with Mechanical Project Engineers or Project Managers who have strong commercial and technical knowledge and are interested in transitioning into estimating.
