Accounts Payable Officer to join our team based at our Intermodal Site .

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier and subcontractor payments, maintaining reconciled supplier accounts and supporting month-end and year-end financial activities.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Enter, code and reconcile supplier invoices for weekly, fortnightly and monthly payment runs.
n
- Liaise with managers and operational teams to confirm accurate job costing and cost allocation.
n
- Manage supplier accounts and ensure payments are processed accurately and within agreed terms.
n
- Prepare and process monthly subcontractor payment runs.
n
- Prepare ABA payment files for approval and issue remittance advices.
n




- Respond promptly and professionally to supplier and subcontractor payment queries.
n
- Reconcile monthly supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
n
- Complete monthly accounts payable reporting in line with the month-end timetable.
n
- Assist with general ledger expense reconciliations for year-end accounts.
n
- Maintain compliance with internal procedures, financial controls and audit requirements.
n
- Identify and report system issues, errors and process non-conformances.
n
- Support continuous improvement across accounts payable processes and systems.

About You

n

To succeed in this position, you will be an accurate and dependable finance professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, meeting strict deadlines and communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

n

n
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Officer or similar finance position.
n
- A robust understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes.
n
- Demonstrated experience with invoice processing, payment runs and supplier reconciliations.
n




- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
n
- Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills.
n
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
n
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a finance team.
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
n
- A Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field is desirable.
n
- A current WA driver’s licence.
n
