The trustee for SBC Trust The Trustee for SBC Trust T/A Saltbush Contracting are seeking experienced Truck Drivers to operate road trains and side tippers, transporting bulk materials between designated loading areas, project sites and delivery locations.

Key responsibilities Drive heavy vehicle combinations safely on public roads and designated haul routes. Position vehicles safely for loading and unloading. Operate side tipping equipment in accordance with procedures, checking ground conditions, clearances and exclusion zones.

Check load weights and distribution against vehicle limits and operating requirements. Secure and cover loads where required to prevent material loss. Complete vehicle and trailer pre-starts, monitor equipment during shifts and report defects promptly.

Couple and uncouple trailers and dollies, checking connections and completing required brake and safety checks. Follow safe parking, isolation and breakdown procedures. Check loading instructions and complete weighbridge, delivery and haulage records accurately.

Follow approved routes, speed limits, site traffic rules and access conditions. Manage work and rest periods, maintain required fatigue records and report fatigue concerns. Communicate with supervisors, loader operators and other drivers to coordinate safe movements.

Undertake basic vehicle care and authorised minor maintenance within competency.

About you Essential requirements: A current Australian Multi Combination (MC) driver’s licence , valid for the vehicles operated. Demonstrated experience driving heavy vehicle combinations, including road trains (minimum 2 years).

Experience with side tippers and safe bulk material loading and unloading. Practical knowledge of load limits, load security, vehicle inspections and fatigue management.



A secure driving history and willingness to provide a current driving record. Ability to complete operational records and communicate clearly. A reliable approach and commitment to following procedures. Ability to meet the inherent requirements of the role and complete relevant pre-employment assessments.

Highly regarded: Experience in mining haulage, civil construction or remote operations.

Experience driving on unsealed roads. Relevant transport qualifications, including Certificate II or III in Driving Operations. Loader operating experience and evidence of competency, where loading forms part of the role. Relevant site inductions and fatigue management training.

Salary: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per annum plus superannuation, with the final offer reflecting experience and the applicable market salary rate.
