Role Description The Used Car Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based at Grand Motors Toyota in Gold Coast, QLD. This role is responsible for engaging with customers on the showroom floor and yard, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable pre-owned vehicles.

Daily tasks include conducting test drives, explaining vehicle features and benefits, preparing quotations, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial enquiry to delivery. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in dealership systems, following up leads, supporting customer retention initiatives, and collaborating with service and finance teams to ensure a seamless experience.

Qualifications

- Sales consulting skills, with the ability to identify customer needs, present options clearly, and close sales in a professional manner.

- Customer retention abilities, including proactive follow-up, relationship management, and encouraging repeat and referral business.
- Knowledge of customer satisfaction principles and commitment to delivering a high-quality, ethical sales experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with a diverse customer base.
- Basic proficiency in dealership systems, CRM tools, and standard office software; willingness to learn internal processes.
- Valid driver’s license and protected driving record; ability to conduct test drives and move vehicles on-site.
- Previous experience in automotive retail or a similar sales environment is highly advantageous.
- Availability to work standard dealership hours, including weekends and peak trading periods.
