About the role
Sunoxi is a Darwin-based solar and electrical services company providing solar PV, battery and associated electrical installation solutions for residential and commercial customers. Our team works across a range of projects throughout the Northern Territory, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety and reliable service.

Sunoxi is seeking a reliable and motivated full-time Electrical Trade Assistant to join our solar and electrical installation team in Darwin.

The team comprises of young and motivated Electricians, trade assistants and apprentices.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Assist licensed electricians with solar PV and battery installations on residential and commercial sites.
- Help install mounting rails, solar panels, inverters, batteries, cables and conduits under supervision.
- Prepare, load and organise tools, materials and equipment for each job.
- Assist with cable runs, conduit fixings and general installation work.
- Work safely at heights and follow all WHS procedures.




- Maintain clean and organised work areas.
- Follow instructions from licensed electricians and supervisors.
- Assist with basic job paperwork and site photos.
- Provide good customer service when working at client premises.
- Work effectively as part of an electrical and solar installation crew.

Skills and experience
The successful applicant will ideally have:

- Relevant qualifications
- At least one year full-time relevant experience;
- experience assisting tradespersons on construction or installation projects;
- the ability to safely use hand and power tools;
- good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in Darwin conditions;
- valuable communication skills and the ability to follow instructions;
- a strong commitment to workplace health and safety;
- reliability, punctuality and a positive work ethic.

Mandatory requirements

- Current NT Driver Licence.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Working at Heights qualification, or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work safely on roofs and elevated structures where required.
- Previous solar or electrical industry experience is desirable but not essential.
