Your Role as a Consultant Psychiatrist:
You will be the clinical cornerstone of your team, providing expert assessment and management of patients across hospital,



community, and secure environments. Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering specialist forensic care and evidence-based treatment plans.
- Contributing to service development and continuous quality improvement.
- Mentoring junior staff and enhancing team capability through shared clinical knowledge.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to ensure safe, coordinated, and holistic patient care.

Requirements:

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), or recognized equivalent specialist qualifications.
- Current Specialist registration with AHPRA, or full eligibility to obtain specialist registration.
- Demonstrated experience in forensic mental health or a related complex clinical setting.

International Medical Graduates (IMGs) who have been assessed as partially or substantially comparable are encouraged to make contact to discuss pathway support.
