Project Accountant – Finance Transformation | 6-Month Contract

$110,000 + Super - Seeking Candidates On Short Notice We’re currently working with a major global organisation on an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Project Accountant to join their Finance team within a large Engineering function. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working with large data sets, improving processes and using technology to make finance more productive and accurate . You don’t need to be highly senior. We’re looking for someone who is a hands-on doer , with strong finance fundamentals and the ability to get stuck into projects and deliver outcomesThis could be an ideal opportunity for a Big 4 first mover looking to transition into industry , as well as candidates on a Working Holiday Visa.

About the role: n

You’ll be involved in a range of finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, including:

- Building and improving Alteryx workflows to automate finance processes
n
- Working with large data sets and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
n
- Reviewing processes to ensure they are accurate, controlled and minimise financial risk
n
- Supporting system implementations and finance-related projects
n
- Identifying potential risks and ensuring new processes and systems make sense from a finance perspective
n
- Helping modernise and streamline existing finance processes
n
- Working with stakeholders across different teams and locations, including interstate teams
n
- Ensuring processes are accurate, efficient and fit for purpose
n

About You nn
- Solid accounting/finance experience , ideally from a Big 4 environment
n
- Experience working with large data sets
n
- Hands-on Alteryx experience , ideally with the ability to build and improve workflows
n
- An interest in finance transformation, automation and process improvement
n
- Experience or exposure to system implementations
n
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of financial controls and risk
n
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across different teams
n
- A practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to get into the detail
n

The opportunity This is an initial 6-month contract offering the opportunity to work on meaningful finance transformation initiatives within a large and complex Engineering environment.
