Company Description Kids With Cancer Foundation Australia is a not-for-profit children’s cancer charity established in December 1998. The organization’s vision is a world where a child’s cancer diagnosis becomes an unremarkable event, and its mission focuses on improving the daily lives of children with cancer and their families. The Foundation aims to make today easier for families by addressing small but important daily challenges that collectively have a meaningful impact.

Support is provided through five key programs: Care Packs 4 Kids, Wigs 4 Kids, Family Financial Assistance, Research, and funding clinician positions in children’s hospitals across Australia.

Role Description Volunteers for the Bondi To Manly Ultra (hosted by MARI Group) on Saturday 24th October will support event operations throughout the day to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-organised experience for participants and spectators. Over the 80km course, roles may include helping with registration and check-in, assisting at water stations, guiding and directing participants along the course or finish line medal distribution.

Throughout the event, volunteers will represent Kids With Cancer Foundation Australia, engaging respectfully with participants, families,



and the community, and escalating any safety or welfare concerns to event coordinators, MARI Group.

Qualifications

- Ability to interact respectfully and clearly with participants, families, and event staff.
- Capacity to follow instructions, work within a team or independantly
- Collaborate with coordinators and other volunteers in a fast-paced event environment.
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to be in office for the full event day and manage basic physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and light lifting.
- Awareness of safety and wellbeing, including willingness to follow event safety protocols and respond appropriately to guidance from medical or security personnel.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Kids With Cancer Foundation Australia, with a compassionate and inclusive approach to families affected by childhood cancer.
- Previous event, customer service, or volunteer experience is beneficial but not required; on-the-day briefing and support will be provided by event organisers, MARI Group.
