The Trustee for A & R FAMILY TRUST WALL AND FLOOR TILER / FLOOR FINISHER The Trustee for A & R Family Trust Location: Malaga WA 6090/ Various job sites across Perth WA Employment Type: Full-Time Hours: 38 hours per week Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per annum superannuation We are currently seeking experienced tradespeople for the following full-time positions: Wall and Floor Tiler – ANZSCO 333411 Floor Finisher – ANZSCO 332111 POSITION 1 – WALL AND FLOOR TILER Key Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for laying and finishing wall and floor tiles on residential and commercial projects.

Duties will include: Examining plans, drawings and specifications and determining the required tile layout. Measuring and marking surfaces and setting out work accurately. Preparing wall and floor surfaces for tiling by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive where required.

Filling holes and cracks and cleaning and preparing surfaces before installation. Measuring and preparing tiles and selecting appropriate adhesives and materials. Spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles and setting tiles into position.

Using tile-cutting tools and equipment to cut and shape tiles for edges and corners and around fittings, pipes and other obstacles. Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned, level and evenly spaced. Applying grout between tiles and cleaning and removing excess grout.

Applying waterproofing systems where required as part of the tiling work. Repairing or replacing damaged tiles where required. Maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring work areas are kept clean and protected.

Following workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Skills and Experience The successful applicant will have: Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent At least 2 years of relevant professional industry experience in wall and floor tiling.



Ability to read plans and accurately measure and set out work.

Experience preparing surfaces and installing wall and floor tiles.

Experience using tile-cutting tools and equipment. Knowledge of adhesives, grout and waterproofing systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. POSITION 2 – FLOOR FINISHER Key Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for measuring, preparing, installing, finishing and repairing flooring materials for residential and commercial projects.

Duties will include: Measuring areas to be covered and consulting plans or job specifications to estimate the quantity of flooring materials required. Inspecting and preparing surfaces before flooring installation. Removing existing floor coverings and baseboard trims where required.

Preparing floor surfaces by filling holes and cracks, smoothing, levelling and sealing surfaces. Measuring, cutting and fixing appropriate underlay materials. Laying underlay and flooring materials over prepared floors.

Installing flooring materials including timber, vinyl, hybrid and other resilient flooring products used by the business. Matching patterns and accurately positioning flooring materials. Measuring and cutting flooring materials around fixtures, corners, doorways and other obstacles.

Trimming flooring materials to achieve accurate and professional edges. Securing floor coverings and fitting edge trims and transition trims in doorways and other areas. Sanding,



staining and applying appropriate finishing coatings to timber flooring where required.

Carrying out repairs and replacement of damaged flooring. Using appropriate flooring tools, equipment, adhesives and preparation products. Inspecting completed flooring work to ensure an appropriate finish and quality standard.

Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Following workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience The successful applicant will have: Relevant qualification in Floor Finishing, Flooring Installation or a related trade, or equivalent relevant experience. At least 2 years of relevant professional industry experience in floor finishing or flooring installation.

Experience measuring, cutting and installing flooring materials.

Experience with timber, vinyl, hybrid or other resilient flooring products. Knowledge of floor preparation, underlay, adhesives and finishing materials. Ability to accurately cut flooring around fixtures, corners and doorways.

Experience installing trims and completing flooring edges and transitions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
