This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker, facilities assistant, site supervisor, or maintenance professional to play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming workplace for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

Opening and securing the school site.
Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.




Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Conducting regular health and safety checks.
Managing deliveries and liaising with contractors on site.
Supporting the setup of classrooms, halls, and facilities for school events.
Identifying and reporting maintenance issues.
Assisting with compliance and site documentation where required.
Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

Previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, estates, maintenance, or site management role.
Good practical DIY and maintenance skills.
An understanding of health and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A flexible and proactive approach to work.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
