Cowra Retail Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our team in Cowra, New South Wales.

This is a full-time position offering an annual salary of $80,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation , depending on experience and suitability.

About the role

n

The Retail Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the retail business, ensuring high standards of customer service, staff performance, stock control, merchandising, sales, and store presentation.

n

The successful applicant will work closely with business management to support sales growth, maintain efficient store operations, and lead the retail team.

n

Key responsibilities

Manage daily retail store operations, including opening and closing procedures.

n
- n

Supervise, train, roster and support retail sales staff.

n
- n

Maintain a high standard of customer service and resolve customer enquiries or complaints professionally.

n
- n

Monitor sales performance and implement practical strategies to improve sales and profitability.

n
- n

Manage stock ordering, receiving, pricing, inventory levels and stock rotation.

n
- n

Conduct regular stocktakes and investigate stock discrepancies, wastage or losses.

n
- n

Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and in accordance with store standards.

n
- n

Monitor store cleanliness, safety, security and overall presentation.

n
- n

Prepare staff rosters to ensure appropriate coverage during trading hours.

n
- n

Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management of retail employees.

n
- n





Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures and relevant retail policies.

n
- n

Prepare or assist with sales, stock and operational reports for management.

n

Essential requirements

n

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

n

- n

At least one year of relevant retail management or retail supervisory experience .

n
- n

A Diploma of Management , Diploma of Leadership and Management, or another relevant management qualification.

n
- n

Demonstrated experience supervising staff and coordinating day-to-day retail operations.

n
- n

Good knowledge of stock control, inventory management, merchandising and retail sales procedures.

n
- n

Solid customer-service and communication skills.

n
- n

The ability to lead, motivate and manage a team in a busy retail environment.

n
- n

Sound computer, administration and reporting skills.

n
- n

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
