Job Description
n
Love working with people? Happiest around the water? Looking for a role where you can build a career in aquatics rather than just pick up a few shifts?
n
Rackley Swimming Lutwyche is looking for energetic, people-focused Customer Service & Pool Lifeguard team members to join us.
n
This is a true multi-skilled aquatic role. You won’t spend every shift behind a reception desk or every shift on the pool deck. You’ll work across both Customer Service and Pool Lifeguarding, helping us create a safe, welcoming and genuinely great experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
n
We also have opportunities across other nearby Brisbane venues, so there’s scope for variety and additional shifts.
n
Make a splash with Rackley Swimming!
What will you be doing? n
A bit of everything and that’s what makes working in aquatics fun.
n
You could be:
n
n
- welcoming customers and families into the centre
n
- helping with enquiries, bookings, memberships and accounts
n
- creating great experiences and building relationships with our regular customers
n
- processing transactions and assisting with our programs and services
n
- jumping onto pool deck as a qualified Pool Lifeguard
n
- keeping a watchful eye on safety and responding when needed
n
- helping keep the venue clean, secure and looking its best
n
- supporting your teammates across the centre
n
- learning more about venue operations and building your leadership skills
n
n
Our Customer Service team plays an active role in customer engagement, enquiries, transactions, memberships, problem solving and creating a positive experience throughout the venue.
Got your eye on Duty Management? Even better. n
We’re not only looking for people to fill shifts.
n
We’re looking for people who want to grow with us.
n
If you’ve got leadership potential, good judgement, initiative and the confidence to take ownership, there may be an opportunity to upskill and develop towards a Duty Manager role.
n
So if you’re thinking, “I’m ready for more responsibility, I just need someone to give me the opportunity,” we’d especially love to hear from you.
You’ll be a great fit if you: n
n
- love working with people
n
- bring positive energy to your team
n
- communicate confidently with customers of all ages
n
- are reliable and willing to get stuck in
n
- can stay calm and switched on in a busy aquatic environment
n
- enjoy variety and don't want to do the same thing all day
n
- take safety seriously
n
- want to learn and potentially progress into leadership
n
n
Previous customer service experience is preferred, but we're equally interested in finding people with the right attitude, energy and potential . The position also calls for strong communication, relationship-building, organisation and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll need n
For this position, you'll need to hold and maintain:
n
n
- Pool Lifeguard Certificate
n
- First Aid
n
- CPR
n
- Blue Card
n
n
These qualifications are requirements of the Customer Service Attendant position.
Why Rackley Swimming? n
Because a job in aquatics can be a whole lot more than watching a pool or working behind a counter.
n
You’ll be part of a team that gets to know its customers, creates a great community environment and helps people enjoy the water safely.
n
And if you're keen to build a career in the industry, we want to help you take that next step.
