Payroll Specialist - Adelaide CBD

Casual Labour Hire | Six-Month Assignment | Rate Negotiable Based on Experience

Zoom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a six-month casual labour hire assignment based in Adelaide CBD.

You will support payroll for regional employees working across mining and heavy industry operations. This role suits someone with strong attention to detail and experience managing the payroll requirements of a large industrial workforce.

About the Role

- Process and maintain accurate payroll information for employees across regional sites
- Review timesheets, hours worked, overtime, allowances and shift penalties
- Apply relevant awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditions
- Manage payroll adjustments, employee changes and leave processing
- Investigate and resolve payroll enquiries and discrepancies
- Liaise with regional site teams, HR and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing




- Maintain confidential employee records and assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations

What We're Looking For

- A minimum of five years' payroll experience within mining, heavy industry or construction
- Experience working with complex rosters, shift arrangements, allowances and overtime
- Solid understanding of awards and enterprise agreements and their application to payroll
- Confidence using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
- High levels of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and the ability to support employees across multiple locations
- Ability to work independently and meet payroll deadlines
