Engineering Team Lead | .NET + React | $200k + Super

I'm hiring an Engineering Team Lead for an established, global SaaS business.

n

This is a genuine player-coach role.

n

You'll lead a team of 4-8 engineers while spending 40-60% of your time still building the product yourself.

n

You’ll be responsible for:

n

n
- Leading and managing a team of 4-8 engineers, owning their growth, performance and delivery
n
- Staying hands-on as a senior engineer, designing, building and enhancing the product
n
- Setting the technical bar for your team and growing the engineers around you
n
- Leading and expanding the use of AI within an AI-driven SDLC, raising the bar for how the team builds software with agentic tools
n
- Partnering closely with product managers on the how, the why and the when of what gets built
n
- Building accurate delivery estimates and making sure the team consistently meets its commitments
n
- Monitoring issues and risks, proactively seeking solutions, and being part of the solution
n

What we’re looking for:

n

n
- Prior experience leading engineers with direct reports. Or,



without the title, significant and demonstrable evidence of up‑levelling teams and peer engineers
n
- Extremely explicit communication, with a strong ability to influence and persuade decisions even when you’re not directly in charge
n
- A track record of taking on hard, risky work that has sometimes failed, and of owning the result and building towards success
n
- Full‑stack capability, comfortable across backend technologies as well as the front end
n
- Strong, demonstrable use of agentic engineering tools and techniques such as Claude Code, Codex or similar
n

- AI‑assisted engineering with tools such as Claude Code
n
- Established SaaS product with significant new feature development
n

This role will suit someone who enjoys ownership, ambiguity and solving difficult problems , rather than waiting for someone else to define every step.
