Century Engineering, a growing and dynamic company at the forefront of key industries such as mining, defence and power industries are seeking multiple skilled Structural Welders for our day shift team (7:00am – 3:06pm).

About The Role n

As a Welder at Century Engineering, you will:

n

n
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
n
- Utilise specialised tools like welding machines and cutting torches.
n
- Collaborate with teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
n
- Uphold safety standards and maintain an organised workspace.
n

What We’re Looking For nn
- Proficiency in reading and fabricating from engineering drawings.
n
- Ability to read understand and comply with Welding Procedure Specifications.
n
- Strong welding skills with the ability to work to tight tolerances and proficiency with AS1554.5 and defence codes a bonus.
n
- Experience in MIG, FCAW, MCAW (proficiency with Metal cored process a major bonus due to this being our main process for
n
- defence contracts).
n
- Ability to self-inspect work to the relevant code and hold yourself to a high standard.
n
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
n
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
n
- Must be in Australia and have the right to work full time.
n

PLEASE NOTE:



Candidates must pass a pre-qualification weld test and demonstrate competence in interpreting technical drawings. The pre-qualification weld test is as follows: 4G single bevel FPBW with the FCAW process.
n Candidates must demonstrate welding competency to multiple codes during this process.
