About the Role:

Join our team as a full time Maintenance Hand in Gosnells and help maintain the quality and presentation of our village community. In this role, you will undertake a variety of maintenance and repair activities, ensuring our properties are secure, functional, and maintained to a high standard. You will also support the upkeep of our beautifully maintained grounds and gardens, contributing to a pleasant and welcoming environment for residents.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out general building maintenance and repair duties within all of Amaroo Village.

- Working collaboratively with the maintenance team to address maintenance requests raised by Amaroo Staff, Residents, contractors, volunteers, and visitors.

- Work in conjunction with the Maintenance Refurbishment Officer in the refurbishment process of Independent Living Units and care facilities.

- Assist with minor grounds maintenance and landscaping as required.

- Be part of the ‘after hours’ emergency maintenance ‘on call’ team (rostered)

- Hold kind and caring interactions with residents. ​





- Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures. ​

What We’re Looking For:

- Proven experience working in a maintenance or handyperson role.

- Practical knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds upkeep.

- Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and work at heights safely when required.

- Knowledge of WHS principles and safe work procedures. ​

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ​

- Customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills. ​

- Be part of the 'after hours' emergency “on-call” team, on a rotational basis.

- Valid WA Driver's License. ​

- Flu vaccination. ​

- Must have Current National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old). ​

- Australian work rights. ​
