As a Diesel Technician within our Production Centre, you'll be responsible for the mechanical and electrical upfit of world-class power generation products, including MTU 20V4000 Series Gensets, working alongside a skilled team in a modern workshop environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Leading Hand - Genset Upfit, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, testing and commissioning of generator sets and related equipment. Your duties will include:

- Performing mechanical and electrical upfit work on MTU 20V4000 Series Gensets
- Completing work instructions and job documentation accurately
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections and testing
- Assisting with troubleshooting and fault rectification
- Supporting Electrical Technicians as required
- Ensuring all work is completed to quality and safety standards
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and workshop processes
- Providing occasional field service support when required

About You

To be successful, you will bring:

- Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic,



Plant Mechanic or similar
- Experience working on diesel engines, power generation equipment or heavy machinery
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and service information
- Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical knowledge highly regarded
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
- Effective communication and organisational skills
