Project Manager – Fit-Out & Refurbishment Location: South Melbourne, VIC

Salary: $80,000–$150,000 + super, depending on experience

The Opportunity: An opportunity is available for a Project Manager to oversee a range of fit-out and refurbishment projects valued between $500,000 and $3 million.

Based in South Melbourne, this position will suit someone with a background in commercial fit-out, office refurbishments or medical fit-outs. Experience in retail shopfitting and insurance-related work will also be highly regarded.
The role will suit an established Project Manager seeking their next opportunity, as well as a developing professional ready to take on greater responsibility. Candidates must have a minimum of two years' relevant experience, with remuneration reflecting their level of experience and capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage fit-out and refurbishment projects from initial planning through to completion and handover.
- Oversee projects across office, medical and commercial environments.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, programmes, procurement and quality control.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates.
- Respond effectively to client changes, variations and evolving project requirements.
- Identify and resolve project issues while maintaining programme and budget expectations.




- Ensure works are completed in accordance with relevant safety, quality and compliance requirements.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A minimum of two years' relevant construction project management experience.
- Experience in fit-out, refurbishment, retail shopfitting, medical or office projects.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage changing requirements professionally.
- Good commercial awareness and the ability to manage project budgets and timelines.
- Robust organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Previous experience within the Australian construction market.
- Full working rights in Australia.

Candidates with insurance construction experience will also be strongly considered.
