You will play an important role in ensuring maintenance services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while building strong relationships with the client, tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
The Role
As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance services across the site.
Working closely with the client and operational teams, you will coordinate resources, contractors and maintenance activities, manage service delivery and budgets, and ensure contractual and compliance requirements are consistently met.

- Manage planned, preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
- Lead, support and coordinate maintenance staff, contractors and subcontractors.
- Build strong working relationships with the client, tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed service levels and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate workforce planning and resources to ensure appropriate operational coverage.
- Manage operational budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, service improvements and additional works.
- Scope and prepare quotations for additional maintenance works where required.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, legislative and company requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Support incident investigations and ongoing risk management.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and performance information.
- Promote a strong safety culture and a high standard of customer service across the site.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of three years' experience managing facilities or maintenance services within a retail environment, ideally within a shopping centre or large commercial asset.
- Experience leading maintenance teams, contractors and site-based personnel.
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing planned and reactive maintenance programs.
- Sound knowledge of WHS, compliance and facilities maintenance requirements.
- Experience managing operational budgets and contractor performance.
- The ability to identify, scope and quote additional maintenance works.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and maintenance or facilities management systems.
- Current Australian working rights.
Most importantly, you will be practical, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day site operations while maintaining strong relationships with the people around you.
