About the role

Nationwide Sales Service and Rentals is seeking an experienced Forklift Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team in Biggera Waters, QLD. This is a full-time position based in the field and onsite, where you will be responsible for providing expert maintenance, repair, and servicing of forklift equipment across our client base. This role is critical to ensuring our customers' operations run smoothly and safely, whilst maintaining our reputation for excellence in the material handling industry. You will be working independently and within our supportive team, managing your schedule and priorities with the Operations Manager, whilst ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and servicing on a variety of forklift models and material handling equipment;

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and technical expertise;

- Repair and replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems;

- Conduct field repairs at customer sites, minimising downtime and disruption to operations;

- Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records of all work performed using AroFlo;

- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status, recommendations, and costs;

- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and manufacturer specifications;

- Maintain and organise tools and equipment, reporting any shortages or required replacements;

- Respond promptly to emergency service calls and prioritise jobs accordingly;

- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What we're looking for

- Qualified and experienced Forklift Technician;





- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with forklift diagnostics and repair;

- Proficiency with hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical components;

- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively;

- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites across the region;

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;

- Robust communication and customer service abilities;

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively;

- Current First Aid certification (preferred but not essential);

- Knowledge of forklift safety standards and regulations.
