At Lutheran Education Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania (LEVNT) Early Childhood we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout our region.

LEVNT Early Childhood's Geelong kindergarten services, St John’s Kindergarten in Newtown and St Paul’s Kindergarten in Grovedale, are community-based sessional kindergarten services offering funded programs for children from 3 years of age through to the year before school. Together, our services provide high-quality early childhood education and care within a welcoming and inclusive workplace, supporting up to 126 children and their families each day.

We are seeking experienced Casual Early Childhood Educators who hold either a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or are working towards these qualifications. This role requires flexibility to work a variety of shift lengths across both services, including full-day shifts and shorter sessions, to meet program and operational needs.

The Role

This casual role requires the successful applicant to work collaboratively with a team of Early Childhood Teachers and Educators to deliver funded kindergarten programs aligned with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. The Educator, alongside their team, will assist to deliver high-quality, engaging programs that respond to the developmental needs, strengths and interests of children. As a casual team member, the successful applicant will provide flexible support across programs and services, stepping into a variety of roles to cover staff absences,



planned leave and operational requirements as needed. They will build and maintain positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, contributing to a respectful, safe and inclusive environment for all who attend and work within the service.

Selection Criteria

- Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (working towards also considered)

- Current First Aid Qualifications including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis.

- Current National Child Safety and Child Protection Training, or willingness to complete.

- Demonstrated commitment to embedding child safety principles across all aspects of practice to ensure the wellbeing and protection of every child.

- Working knowledge of current Early Childhood Legislation and the National Quality Laws and Regulations.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to positively and proactively engage with staff, children and families.

- Demonstrated skills to maintain a positive work culture and work within successful teams.

- Sound computer skills.

- Commitment to the Christian ethos of the Lutheran Church.
