About the role

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality taxation and compliance services while supporting the development of junior team members. This position is designed as a development pathway to either a Tax Manager or Tax Consultant role and would suit an accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a respected specialist firm.

Key responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns
Reviewing BAS, IAS and compliance work prepared by junior staff
Researching taxation issues and technical matters
Assisting with tax advice and complex client matters
Monitoring workflow and lodgement deadlines
Providing coaching, guidance and technical support to junior accountants
Working closely with Managers and Directors on complex taxation matters

About you
CA or CPA qualification (essential)
Senior-level experience within a Business Services & Tax team in a public practice accounting firm
Strong technical taxation and compliance knowledge
Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior accountants
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
