Job Title: Disability Support Worker

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants, including those with complex needs and younger individuals. The role involves assisting participants to achieve their goals, maintain independence, and enhance their quality of life in a safe and supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily personal care and support tailored to individual participant needs.
Support participants with complex physical, behavioural, or psychosocial needs.
Assist children and young people in a safe, respectful, and age-appropriate manner.
Implement care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk management strategies.
Support participants with community access, social activities, and skill development.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
Communicate effectively with families, carers, and allied health professionals.
Ensure a safe setting and follow all safeguarding and reporting requirements.

Essential Requirements:




Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related field.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Valid Working with Children Check.
Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:
Previous experience supporting participants with complex needs (e.g., high physical support, behaviours of concern, or mental health conditions).
Experience working with children and/or young people.
Ability to manage challenging situations with patience and professionalism.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $34.00 – $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24.0 per week
