Shepherd Care Australia is a trusted provider of disability support and aged care services across Sydney. We help people living with disability and older Australians live independently, safely and with dignity, with person-centred care built around each participant’s goals, needs and lifestyle.

Due to continued business growth, we’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Aged or Disabled Carer to join our care team.

Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility
Support daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, medication reminders and light household duties
Build positive relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals
Monitor client health and wellbeing, and promptly report any changes or concerns
Follow individual care plans in line with organisational policies
Maintain accurate care records and documentation
Support community participation, appointments, shopping and social activities
Comply with NDIS Practice Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards, WHS requirements and infection control procedures




Provide emotional support and companionship, respecting each client’s cultural background, preferences and privacy

Requirements
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing and/or Disability), Aged Care, Disability, or a closely related qualification
At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience (or part-time equivalent) in aged care, disability support or community care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check (where applicable)
Current National Police Check
Current unrestricted Australian driver licence (preferred)
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, public holidays and sleepovers if required

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
