Our menu includes favourites such as lasagne, chicken piccata and tiramisu, alongside a selection of wines. We offer lunch and dinner service and focus on delivering well-prepared food and an enjoyable dining experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook menu items, maintain consistent food quality and presentation, and support efficient kitchen operations during lunch and dinner service.

Key Responsibilities

● Preparing ingredients and organising daily mise en place.

● Preparing and cooking pasta, sauces, antipasti, seafood, meat dishes, vegetables and desserts according to established recipes.

● Applying appropriate cooking methods, including grilling, frying, roasting, baking and sautéing.

● Monitoring cooking temperatures, seasoning, portion sizes and presentation.

● Coordinating preparation and cooking to ensure meals are served promptly.





● Preparing meals for dietary requirements and managing allergens carefully.

● Checking ingredient quality and storing, labelling and rotating food correctly.

● Monitoring stock levels, reporting shortages and minimising food waste.

● Maintaining clean work areas, utensils and kitchen equipment.

● Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.

● Working collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams.

Skills and Experience

● Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or demonstrated experience in a similar role.

● Experience preparing Italian cuisine and fresh pasta is highly desirable.

● Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety.

● Solid organisation, time management and communication skills.

● Ability to maintain quality and consistency during busy service periods.

● Availability to work a roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
