About the role

You will be the lead on mechanical design for office fit-out projects, working in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. This is a hands-on, critical role. You will be managing the design process from concept through to construction completion, working directly with architects, interior designers, and other building trades.

Key responsibilities
Prepare detailed mechanical designs, calculations, and documentation specifically for commercial office fit-outs
Coordinate mechanical services seamlessly with architects and other trades, ensuring the vision of the design becomes a functional reality
Conduct site inspections, attend client meetings, and manage project workflows from start to finish
Ensure every project meets the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards, maintaining high standard of quality
Manage the technical integrity and efficiency of mechanical designs

About you
Minimum of 4 years of proven experience specifically in commercial office fit-outs within the Australian engineering sector
Solid, practical working knowledge of HVAC, smoke ventilation, and mechanical services design principles




Recognised degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Building Services)
Exceptional English communication skills and comfort liaising with clients and stakeholders
