About the roleOur client is a well-known, fast-growing premium retail brand, currently building a brand current National Distribution Centre that will take its warehouse operation from fully manual to semi-automated, with robotic picking and packing.

They’re looking for a Test Lead to own testing across the programme, leading a small SIT team through integration testing between core retail systems, Blue Yonder WMS and the recent robotics platform, and on through to go-live.

What you’ll be doing
Owning the test strategy, test plans and entry and exit criteria across SIT, UAT and end-to-end testing
Leading and coaching a small team of SIT Test Analysts, while staying hands-on where needed
Running defect triage across the business, the WMS team and an international automation partner
Aligning test phases with vendor delivery dates and programme milestones
Reporting test progress, quality and risk to programme leadership
Leading operational readiness and go-live testing alongside warehouse teams

What you’ll bring
8+ years in testing, including leading testing on a WMS implementation or distribution centre go-live




Experience with a Tier 1 WMS such as Blue Yonder (JDA), Manhattan or similar
Robust functional understanding of warehouse operations: receiving, putaway, waving, picking, packing, replenishment and dispatch
Proven SIT and UAT management across multiple vendors on large transformation programmes
Confidence leading a small team and holding the line on quality with senior stakeholders
Exposure to warehouse automation, WCS or robotics (AutoStore, Knapp, Dematic, Swisslog or similar) highly regarded
