Il Camino is currently seeking an experienced Cook for a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Italian dishes, maintaining consistent standards of food quality and presentation, and contributing to the efficient daily operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking a range of Italian dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu requirements.
Preparing, measuring and portioning ingredients for daily food preparation.
Preparing and cooking menu items, including pizzas and other Italian dishes.
Monitoring food quality, freshness, cooking times and presentation standards.
Operating ovens, grills and other kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
Checking ingredient quality and ensuring appropriate food storage and stock rotation.




Monitoring ingredient usage and minimising food wastage.
Coordinating with kitchen staff to maintain efficient food preparation and service.
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You
At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook or in a similar commercial kitchen role.
Positive knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Experience preparing and cooking Italian dishes, including pizzas.
Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality and presentation.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
Solid attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
