PQE Partners are working with a leading financial services organisation looking to appoint an experienced Financial Markets Lawyer on a contract basis.

This is a senior, hands-on role within a specialist legal team supporting a sophisticated financial markets business. They are looking for someone who can come in with minimal ramp-up, take ownership of complex documentation workstreams and provide additional senior capability to the team.

The work will include
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex financial markets documentation
Taking carriage of ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs and other trading and financing agreements
Supporting documentation across derivatives, repo, securities lending and prime financing
Advising on contractual, collateral and credit risk issues and negotiating directly with counterparties
Working closely with front office, Credit, Risk, Treasury, Operations and Legal
Providing pragmatic advice and knowing when to negotiate, escalate or accept risk
Supporting documentation frameworks, templates,



playbooks and process improvements where required For this hire, we are looking for a genuinely experienced financial markets lawyer who can hit the ground running.

You are likely to have 10+ years' relevant experience gained within an investment bank, major bank, financial institution or leading financial markets practice, with substantial hands-on experience negotiating trading documentation.

Robust ISDA/CSA experience is significant, with additional exposure to areas such as GMRA/repo, GMSLA/securities lending and/or prime financing highly regarded.

This could particularly suit a senior Financial Markets lawyer between permanent roles, returning to the market, or looking for a high-quality contract where they can immediately add value within an experienced team.
