About the role

We are seeking an experienced full-time Medical Secretary to join our private practice team, supporting two busy Psychiatrists. This Monday to Friday role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and rewarding setting, providing high-quality administrative support while contributing to the delivery of excellent patient care.

Key responsibilities
Organising patient appointments
Manage office communications
Digital medical record filing/Chart management
Scanning
Ensure confidentiality and privacy
EFTPOS and Medicare rebate billing
Health Fund Insurance billing using Eclipse
Providing excellent customer service to patients, family members and other third parties/stakeholders
Letter/report formatting, proof reading and/or dictation
General administrative duties

About you
Previous experience as a Medical Secretary is essential
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work well within a team and autonomously
Demonstrate professional behaviour




High level of organisational and time management skills
Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
Invoicing, Receipting and Reconciling
Using an EFTPOS machine
Medicare and Health Fund Billing using ECLIPSE
Liaising with third parties, health fund services and providers
