We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our busy and growing multi-specialist practice at the Mater in South Brisbane.

This newly created position offers an exciting prospect to join our friendly reception team and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of our newly refurbished offices. We ideally would like someone to commence the role in early November following the completion of our renovations.

About the Role

Available on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum four days per week), this role is ideal for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Working alongside our experienced reception team, you will provide high-quality administrative support to a team of specialists and play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing comprehensive administrative support to a team of specialists
Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
Coordinating referrals and clinic workflows




Handling patient enquiries via phone, email, and fax
Managing both in-room and off-site clinics
Processing patient accounts (Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and third-party billing)

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Secretary
Experience with medical software (Genie highly regarded)
Robust organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
A team-focused attitude and excellent communication skills
The ability to multitask and problem-solve in a busy workplace
