Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical direction and engineering strategy
Remain hands-on with software development and architecture decisions
Establish scalable engineering processes, standards and best practices
Drive platform modernisation, stability and performance improvements
Introduce and embed AI-enabled engineering processes and efficiencies
Mentor, coach and develop engineers
Assess the current team structure and implement improvements where required
Build a high-performing engineering culture focused on quality and delivery




Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Ensure solutions are scalable and secure

You'll likely bring:
Experience leading engineering teams within a startup, scale-up or high-growth SaaS environment
Technical experience in the following (or similar): React, Flutter, Node.js, AWS and Firebase
Strong full-stack development capability and a willingness to stay hands-on
Experience scaling systems, teams and engineering functions
A track record of implementing effective development processes and technical standards
Experience improving engineering quality, delivery velocity and operational maturity
Confidence challenging existing approaches and driving meaningful change
Robust commercial awareness and product-minded thinking

Highly Regarded
AI engineering or AI implementation experience
UX/UI awareness and customer-centric thinking
Experience leading distributed or offshore teams
