ROLE – Electrical & Controls Engineer – Water & Wastewater

SALARY - $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Adelaide, SA

My client provides specialist engineering solutions across the Water and Wastewater sector. They are looking for an Electrical & Controls Engineer with experience in PLC/SCADA programming and the Water industry to join their growing team in Adelaide.

The Electrical & Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
At least 3 years of experience in Electrical, Controls, Automation or similar Engineering roles
Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems and industrial automation
Experience within the Water, Wastewater or Utilities industry
Solid understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, control panels and VSDs
Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs; and engineering drawings
Experience with the design, development and implementation of control systems
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
Experience supporting projects through design, installation, testing and commissioning




Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Solid communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

The Electrical & Controls Engineer role will involve:
Programming, developing and maintaining PLC and SCADA systems
Designing and implementing electrical and control solutions for Water and Wastewater treatment systems
Configuring instrumentation, control panels, VSDs and associated equipment
Reviewing electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs; and technical documentation
Supporting the integration of automation and control systems across projects
Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, instrumentation and control system issues
Working with internal teams, suppliers and clients throughout project delivery
Supporting system testing, commissioning and in office implementation
Preparing and maintaining technical documentation
Working within a collaborative, growing engineering team on a variety of projects
