Medical Receptionist / Call Centre – Casual – Cairns GP Superclinic

General Practice in Cairns requires a Receptionist – casual rotational roster

/n

/n

Available for regular / rotational rostered hours over 7 days, during clinic hours

/n

Customer Service skills required and empathetic nature

/n

Require commitment available for both morning, afternoon and evening shifts

/n

This will include Call Centre shifts as part of reception

/n

/n

While previous medical receptionist / call centre experience is an advantage, candidates with a background in reception/administration, customer service or hospitality are encouraged to apply, with on-the-job training provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

/n

Answer incoming calls and manage emails, on a busy switchboard.

/n
Book appointments and manage multiple diaries.

/n
Greet patients warmly and maintain a friendly workplace.

/n
Ensure cleanliness and compliance with infection control protocols.

/n
Handle patient enquiries and rescheduling, including challenging situations.

/n
Assist healthcare professionals and perform administrative tasks.

/n

Valid driver’s licence for errands (automatic vehicle).

Australian citizenship or permanent residency essential.

Availability:

/n

/n

Approx. 4 to 5 shifts per week (25 to 35 hours).

/n

Flexibility is required as shifts cover morning, afternoon and evening. With rotational weekends – during the clinic’s opening hours.

/n

Current clinic hours are Mon-Fri 7am to 9pm; Sat-Sun 8am to 6pm, also open Public Holidays.

/n
