Mercado is on the hunt for a passionate and reliable Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our crew. We serve authentic food with traditional flavours and are on a mission to create a recent experience in hospitality with a solid focus on breakfast, inspired by Mexican cuisine.

Your Role:

Prepare food to Mercado standards: fast, fresh, consistent

/n
Run smooth breakfast service operations

/n
Complete daily opening and closing procedures

/n
Assist with stocktake and prep list planning

/n
Assist with ordering

/n




Maintain a clean and organised kitchen throughout your shift

/n
Restock service stations (grill, pass, bain-marie) as needed

/n
Follow food safety protocols: temp logs, sanitising, HACCP

/n
Complete shift reports and communicate effectively with the team and with front of house

/n

What You Bring:

Breakfast experience (preferred)

/n
Strong attention to detail, speed, initiative, and cleanliness.

/n
Passion for food and consistency.

/n
Team player with a positive attitude and work ethic.

Propensity for systems
