asset performance and safety.Key Responsibilities IncludeLeading electrical maintenance and reliability across multiple hydroelectric power stations and associated HV infrastructureManaging and developing electrical engineering, maintenance and technical teamsOverseeing HV substations, transformers, switchgear and transmission and distribution networksManaging protection systems, relays, circuit breakers and electrical network integrityDeveloping preventative and predictive maintenance strategiesLeading fault finding, root cause analysis and power system investigationsPlanning and coordinating shutdowns, outages and major maintenance programsManaging capital projects, electrical upgrades and network improvementsOverseeing protection coordination, testing and commissioning activitiesManaging contractors and specialist service providersDriving continuous improvement in electrical reliability and asset performanceEnsuring compliance with electrical, safety and environmental standardsWorking closely with operations to maximise generation availability and network reliabilityYou'll Ideally BringDegree or relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, OR trade qualification + relevant experienceSignificant experience in HV transmission and distribution, power generation, utilities,



mining or heavy industrial environmentsPrevious experience in an Electrical Superintendent, Electrical Manager, Maintenance Superintendent or senior electrical leadership roleStrong knowledge of HV substations, transformers, switchgear, protection relays and electrical distribution systemsExperience with power system protection, network reliability and electrical asset managementDemonstrated experience leading electrical maintenance and technical teamsStrong troubleshooting, fault-finding and continuous improvement capabilityExperience managing shutdowns, electrical projects, contractors and capital worksStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skillsHydro generation experience is advantageous, but strong transmission and distribution experience is the priorityPrevious remote, regional or expatriate experience will be highly regardedThis is far more than a traditional electrical engineering position.As Electrical Superintendent, you'll have genuine ownership of critical electrical infrastructure, leading the people, maintenance strategies and technical improvements required to maximise reliability across both hydro generation and HV transmission and distribution assets.With a salary of up to AUD $250,000 plus a comprehensive expatriate package, this represents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced electrical leader looking to take on significant technical responsibility while building an international career.If you have strong HV transmission, distribution, protection and electrical maintenance leadership experience, we'd love to hear from you.
