We hire for the long term and genuinely care about our people.About the roleAt HEH Civil, our Senior Estimator leads the estimating function and is responsible for the accuracy and quality of every estimate we submit.
You will work closely with our project and operations teams to build realistic prices and play a key role in winning the right work for the business.Lead, mentor and develop our estimating teamReview tender documents, drawings, specifications and contract conditionsPrepare first-principles estimates for civil infrastructure projectsDevelop construction methodologies, programs and resourcing assumptions with our project teamsObtain, review and compare subcontractor and supplier quotesIdentify risks, opportunities, exclusions and qualificationsPresent estimates to senior management for review and sign-offPrepare accurate, compliant and competitive tender submissionsHand over successful tenders to the project delivery teamMaintain and improve our estimating rates,



systems and processesAbout youYou will be an established civil estimator who is confident leading a team and backing your numbers.At least 5-6 years' estimating experience on civil infrastructure projects in AustraliaA degree in Civil Engineering is preferredStrong first-principles estimating and construction methodology knowledgeExperience pricing road, water, drainage, earthworks or other civil infrastructure projectsExperience leading and mentoring estimatorsA sound understanding of contract conditions, risk and commercial outcomesStrong skills in estimating software and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and the ability to meet firm tender deadlinesTransport and Main Roads tender experience will be highly regardedWhy join HEH Civil?
