Southcare Medical Centre is currently looking to employ a suitably qualified, caring, Practice Nurse to join our team of dedicated doctors and support staff to ensure a smooth and efficiently functioning practice while providing an exceptional standard of care to our patients.Initially the position will be Casual hours covering 3-4 days and Saturday mornings, with the possibility of more hours in the future.Key responsibilitiesPerform clinical duties within required level of clinical competency, according to best available evidenceTriage, immunisations, child immunisations and other injectionsWound management and dressingsChronic disease management and assisting with management plansECGs and spirometryPerforming BSL and INR testsMedical assessments and set up and assisting with surgical proceduresCervical screening tests (if applicable)Assist with triage, data management, diagnostic services, networking with other providers,



planning and management of patient care and patient advocacyAbout youAppropriate tertiary qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of AustraliaCurrent professional indemnity insuranceCurrent driver's licenceCurrent vaccination record and up to date vaccinationsCurrent CPR certificate and 3 yearly update of thisMaintain CPD as per your registrationDemonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills across all ages and social groupsAbility to work cooperatively and independently and the ability to prioritise and organiseDemonstrated commitment to ongoing career development
