We're looking for a Team Leader to manage a team of Desktop Home Assessors, responsible for assessing and managing home insurance claims end-to-end using virtual tools.This is a excellent opportunity for someone with an Insurance building, estimating or restoration background who wants to step into a corporate leadership environment while still using their technical knowledge in a meaningful way.About the RoleIn this role, you'll manage a team and a portfolio of home insurance claims from lodgement through to settlement, using desktop assessment tools and expert reports to determine scope, cost and repair outcomes.You'll be responsible for:Providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to a team of claims professionalsMonitoring team performance, workloads, SLAs and claims outcomes to ensure service standards are consistently metCoaching and mentoring team members,



providing feedback and supporting their technical and professional developmentEscalating complex or high-risk claims and providing technical guidance on appropriate claims outcomesConducting desktop assessments of property damage using virtual tools and supplier reportsDetermining cause of damage, policy coverage and appropriate repair methodsWorking closely with builders, suppliers, repairers and internal claims teamsAbout YouYou'll bring a practical, hands-on understanding of building or construction and be comfortable working in a fast-paced claims environment.You'll have:Strong Team leadership experience and qualitiesExperience in Insurance building, estimating, restoration, construction, or insurance assessing (trade background highly regarded)Strong understanding of residential building practices and repair methodsAbility to interpret scopes, quotes and technical reportsStrong attention to detail and sound decision-making skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilityA customer-first mindset with resilience and empathyWhy This Role?
