Opportunities for career progression within the programInduction Tuesday 27 October ****Successful applicants will play an important role in the surveillance and treatment of fire ants throughout Southern Queensland.The role involves working outdoors across a variety of locations and terrain,



with a strong focus on accurate surveillance, treatment, data collection and reporting.Key responsibilitiesDrive up to one hour from the depot to access various site locationsConduct visual surveillance for fire antsUndertake fire ant bait treatmentWalk approximately ***** km per day across challenging terrainCollect and accurately record information using a tabletComplete daily reporting, data collection and record keepingWork collaboratively as part of a field-based teamRepresent the program professionally when interacting with landholders and members of the publicAbout you To be successful in this role, you will need:An Australian open car licenceThe ability to work effectively as part of a teamStrong communication and attention to detailCustomer service experience is desirableThe physical fitness to walk long distances across challenging terrainA willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsThe ability to pass drug and alcohol testingThe ability to complete and pass a Police CheckA positive attitude and willingness to contribute to an important community programIf you're looking for a role where you can work outdoors, stay active and make a genuine contribution to Queensland, we'd love to hear from you.Additional informationInduction: Tuesday 27 October ****$35+ per hourOngoing, full-time opportunities - no end date!
